    • Robotics: This is the engineering domain where AI is used to control physical machines (robots) to perform tasks, often integrating advanced CV and ML to handle real-world variables.

    The last few years have been dominated by Generative AI (GenAI), which refers to systems that generate original content such as text, code, images, or music.

    • Algorithmic Bias: This occurs when a model produces outcomes that are systematically prejudiced, often reflecting underlying human biases or imbalances in the training data. For example, an image recognition system fails more often on faces from one demographic.
    • Explainable AI (XAI): This refers to the methods and techniques that allow human users to understand, interpret, and trust the results and decisions generated by an AI model, moving away from the “black box” nature of some complex systems.
