The site reviewers are given different sites in their category for review and they are all prohibited from reviewing any site with which they have any personal or professional affiliation. The Academy regularly inspects the work of each reviewer for fairness and accuracy.
Nominating Judges
Nominating judges are new media journalists and editors, web developers, and other Internet professionals who possess comprehensive knowledge of the range of sites that fall within their area of expertise. They are generally active in the online communities. Essentially, they have their cursors on the pulse of the Internet with clearest view of the horizon.
Judging
This is the easiest and the hardest part. Easy insofar as there are no complex interactions, no systems or ratings. Each judge simply casts one vote for the best of the three nominees from nomination list. But simply is harder than it sounds !!.
