Limitations of Virtual Private Servers
There are a few occasions when a virtual private server is not an appropriate hosting solution. If you need to compile your own kernel or directly access the hardware layer then a vps solution will not work for you. Of course, as with any fully dedicated server, it is also important to 'right-size' your vps for the job. You cannot make your web site(s) run on a vps this week if they needed the resources of a full dedicated server last week. Here are the few limitation or disadvantage of vps servers.

2. A Virtual Private Server can only host a finite number of Virtual Subhosts due to performance reasons
3. You do need to have some programming knowledge to control and configure the settings. Sounds overwhelming, it doesn
